Thank you from Think Freely Latino!

TFL Friends,

I want to take this opportunity to thank you – Think Freely Latino’s (TFL) independent-minded champions, contributors, and new subscribers. Thank you for joining the conversation and for sharing your stories and opinions with us – those that help inform and inspire our community “so that more feel empowered to live free, purposeful and fulfilling lives.”

Most of us are aware of the numbers – Hispanics and Latinos in the U.S. are 59 million strong, with a buying power of more than 1.5 trillion U.S. dollars. No doubt, these are compelling numbers, but in an increasingly hyper-partisan environment it is more important than ever to get to know our own community better – the many empowered individuals behind those impressive numbers, as well as their stories and personal formula for achieving economic independence and personal success.

Despite the many false stereotypes perpetuated today through media and current culture, most Americans of Hispanic and Latino descent are overcoming life challenges, thriving, succeeding, and proactively working to promote greater civility, individual freedom, unfettered economic opportunity, and increased prosperity in their own communities, as well as in the broader society.

That is why TFL remains dedicated to telling our stories, sharing our opinions and raising our voice about those issues of greatest concern at the ground level – in local communities across the country. Truly, every community is unique, with its own set of challenges and innovative free-market approaches to solving problems.

While research is important, it is also critical to continue engaging with thought and community leaders who persevere, and who put theory into practice every day – whether fighting poverty, working to bring about regulatory relief to Hispanic small business owners, or ensuring greater choice and high-quality education or healthcare.

Over the course of just this past year, our Think Freely team launched our redesigned TFL website, www.thinkfreelylatino.org, and social channels.  We also formed an advisory board of influential American Hispanic and Latino thought leaders who are wholeheartedly dedicated to our community’s success. And, we continue to build our team of TFL Contributors and TFL State Ambassadors – key volunteers helping us find the stories that need to be told, telling them, and raising important voices that are rarely heard.

And there is more to come – 2018 is shaping up to be an exciting year with new projects and initiatives already in the works!

Now that Hispanic Heritage Month 2017 has come to a close, we cordially invite you to stay engaged in the conversation, and let us know about local issues affecting your community, and the everyday heroes working to solve them.

We want to hear from you! Share your success story, tell us about a civic group or a great resource in your community, or nominate an everyday Latino hero – a TFL Nuestro Héroe. Just send us a brief description and include your information via TFL’s “Contact Us” page on the www.thinkfreelylatino.org website.

Finally, we invite you to check out some of our latest articles, and if you haven’t yet, don’t forget to subscribe on our homepage to get TFL’s latest features, articles, and announcements.

This is Think Freely Latino – these are our stories, our opinions, our voice.

Mil Gracias,

Sandra Mayoral Pedroarias
