Jeyben Castro is the outreach director for the U.S. Senate Committee on Finance Hispanic Affairs Task Force. In this role, he meets and partners with community leaders and organizations from across the country to address, educate and find solutions to issues affecting the Hispanic community.
Jeyben also is a part of the Senate Finance Committee oversight team that combats fraud, waste and abuse within agencies, programs and activities under committee jurisdiction.
Jeyben’s long history of public service includes 10 years in the U.S. Navy. He promoted corporate citizenship as a public affairs manager for Geico Insurance and, in 2012, joined the Republican National Committee as one of six Hispanic outreach directors in charge of the Hispanic vote for the U.S. presidential election.
Jeyben was born in El Sauce, Nicaragua, and migrated to Miami when he was 10 years old. He is a board member of Latinos Student Fund, an education-based nonprofit, and Think Freely Latino, a nonprofit organization that uses the power of narrative to highlight the best of the U.S. Hispanic and Latino community.
A graduate of George Mason University in Virginia, Jeyben now resides in Maryland.
